Sneak peek and a special win

This little tree frog doesn't know Winter is coming! I was down by the river yesterday taking some photos of something that you'll have to wait until Monday to see......there will be a giveaway too and 2 frogs jumped on my quilt. This little guy isn't any bigger than a dime!

I have been working today trying to put together a page on my blog with links to my tutorials and projects. If you have a second and can take a look I would love to know if you think it will be helpful. The link is at the top under my header or here. I have a couple other pages I want to get up, work on my new header/signature for November.....clean house.....quilt....oh boy!
I had a big box come in the mail yesterday and look what was in it! Lots of wonderful goodies that I won from Lori and her family at  To everything there is a Season - I won a Fall Basket containing some beautiful fabric, a hand crocheted dish cloth, the ingredients, a spoon and recipe for M&M cookies, my favorite Halloween candy, a Wisdom notebook,  a dish towel and cloth, a fat quarter of fabric and a whole yard of a cute garden print!

Take a look at this! I wasn't sure what it was until I opened it, notice the cute little tag.
Handmade acorns!
The best part of this gift was the handmade card. What a special gift! Thank you so much!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week-end!

  2. Oh I just love those handmade acorns! Very special gift.

I like the idea of a header or link to your tutorials. I know when I go to other blogs, that is always helpful when they have either a tab or sidebar for their tutorials.

  5. I'm thinking your little tree frogs were looking for a warm place to snuggle for the winter. Great shot of the little critter! What a fun package! Those acorns are darling. I like your new links on your header too. Must spend some time figuring out how to do that.

  11. A critter on a quilt? I don't think so! As a mom of three grown sons you'd think I'd be used to critters but nope! Congrats on the great gift basket.

  16. What a lovely giveaway win you had. The hand drawn card is so sweet.
    Love the tiny acorns too.
I looked at your projects/tutorials page and think that it is a great idea to have them all in the one place where they are easy to access.

  17. How funny about those frogs hopping onto that quilt. Maybe they do know winter is near and they were claiming the prettiest warm spot as their own not realizing you were going to take it away. lol

Your tutorial page looks great. And wow, nice package you recieved. Awesome stuff in there.

  18. Hello Connie & all,
Well first off, you are welcome!
We are so thrilled that you liked everything! :)
    We enjoy doing give-aways, it
is always such a biggy to the children who wins & what etc :)
We are blessed by doing them :)
The lil-card hand drawn by my 8yr old M.Sophie was a "corn-field" because we often get to visit Iowa & we think of the beautiful
    corn-fields of Iowa! :)
As for the "Acorns" let me share a friend of mine makes them & did several for me for a blessing to some one & they are so lil-& cute.
I will ask her better info, however I will tell you they are made from 'felted-wool' wet in cool water & roll & roll, glue real acorn top on! They are so sweet!
I have one that she has a lil-sign (mini) sign in "Acorns for sale" :)
    So glad everyone enjoyed!
Love to visit your river side blog Connie!
    Blessings~
    Lori & family
