Quilting Lodge my newest sponsor, sent these beautiful fabrics which are Amelia by Me and My Sister for Moda and I used the Lil' Twister Ruler to make this neat quilt.
You use your large rotary cuter (the one the size of an Oreo cookie)
Original size was 46 x 56 before cutting with the template. The finished size was now 31 x36 inches. So your finished twister quilt will be about 2/3 of the size of the original.
I then cut 4 - 2.5 inch strips of fabric for my binding and then had enough to cut 5 inch borders. I looked at the quilt and decided it looked a little boring.
Inspector Simon - if you walk away for a moment there he is!
It is definitely easier to free-motion quilt without a cat sitting on the quilt!
You can click on this sketch and save it if you want to make one like mine
I had to take it down to the river for some photos -
and I had a couple friendly frogs stop by to inspect my stitching.
Bye little frog....good thing I hadn't washed the quilt yet!
Quilting Lodge sponsored this great giveaway and look what you can win! Vicki and Judy have generously offered to give one lucky person 8 fat quarters of Amelie and the Lil' Twister template!
