How to add a button to your blog

Would you like to learn how to add a button that has code to your blog?
Blog button with code

  • Find a button (mine if you like, it's in the right column) and copy the code that is below the button.
  • Go to your blog and on the top right side look for the word Design, click it.

This will bring you to your dashboard. I just switched to the new blogger dashboard in case yours doesn't look like this. Now click on LAYOUT.

Now click on one of the Add a Gadget button (there are several of them).
This window will open. Pick HTML/JavaScript.
Now paste the button code that you copied into the window. You don't have to put a title on it if you don't want.
Be sure and hit SAVE!
You should have the button on your blog now. It will be at the top of the column and if you want to move it lower in the column go back to your Layout and move it down.

You can also copy the code and add it to a post. Sometimes when I do this I like to make it a little smaller. My button is 125 x 125 - if I change the width in the HTML I can have a smaller button. I just changed the width to 75.
