Yesterday I stopped by Attic Window Quilt Shop and Caroll had a Show & Tell at her shop. You have to click on her link and look at the 5th quilt (look at all the other beautiful quilts too). I couldn’t believe when I saw the wall hanging!
Do you believe in coincidences? A couple days ago I was down in my storage room rearranging boxes and came across this old wall hanging I had made. Guess when……1990! Then to see it yesterday on Caroll’s blog was so neat! Some quilts never seem to age.
I was working at Northwest Fabrics at the time and this was a store model I made. I remember how excited I was when this group of fabrics came in! I remember cutting a lot of fabric for this wall hanging. I tried to find the book in my stash, I think it was P S I Love You Baby Collection Quilts I remember there were lots of great baby quilts in that book.
Edit: I just found out from Michelle at Life with Lou
that the pattern wasn’t in that book. Now I’m wondering if it was a
individual pattern as I don’t have any of those. By the way,Michelle has lots of great vintage sewing machines on her blog!
This is one of the few quilts that I have hand quilted….even the hearts were sewn on by hand and the binding.
Here is my signature on the back, nothing fancy….22 years ago….a different last name and a different state that I lived in but it is still me. This would have been 2 years before I found my 15-91 Singer at a farm auction…..oh the memories!
I also wanted to share a couple of winnings that I just received in the mail.
I received this cute group of fabrics and the 2 little hexies from Sue at Susan’s Scrappy Domain, thanks so much Sue! Oops, there was also a package of zucchini seeds that I forgot to show.
I also received this adorable little tote bag and a yo-yo maker from Mitts at The Bag Lady from the Bay, thanks so much Mitts!
