Keeping him in the crate for an hour at a time and then carrying him to the door has really worked better than I expected. My brother and sister are getting a kick out of me being outside and always going "good doggie". One of the best tips was that a puppy usually has to pee more than once....which I learned real fast. So we take our time outside then I give them both a treat and back in for some play.
Kelso is very happy to come in and just plop down on the floor but will play for awhile. When the puppy starts to slow down I put him back in the crate...........except for the couple times he crawled up in my lap and fell asleep.
It really amazed me today to see him crawl in this flower bed and lay down.
So far today Fez has only had ONE accident in the house and I am so tickled! This training of grandma to go outside constantly is working! LOL, my brother said he hasn't seen me outside this much all summer.
Thanks again to everyone and I think the only person I wasn't able to email was Pat as I had no email address so a public thanks to you also!
