We're having a wonderful time taking our time, it took us all day to drive a 4 1/2 hour drive. We stopped in Cantril, IA so Builder Bob could get some more of his favorite bread & butter pickles on the way to Missouri and of course I had to pick up some great fabrics on sale.
This month the color is blue at
Rainbow Scrap Challenge so I did my string blocks in light blues this time and will also do dark blue. I cut my telephone book papers to 8 inch squares and used my scraps to cover them.
Then I pieced the 4 squares together and will add batting and a backing as I am doing a Quilt As You Go (QAYG) out of them.

Nice light blue blocks, I mixed all my blues together, after being so picky with the purples (indigo & violet). Hmmm, I wonder if I should go back an revisit blue?
