Sunflower Snap Sack

I made this cute little sunflower wall hanging the day we were leaving and the only thing left to do on it was the binding......well I finally got it on! This is a Snap Sack Quilt Kit that I won from Fabrics N Quilts in May. I can't believe I waited this long to make it as it went together fast. Their Snap Sack kits come with everything you need including the batting!

There was recently another giveaway for a snap sack so be sure and check out their Blog, shop and Facebook so you'll know when another one happens!
The size is 14 x 16 and I changed the center of my sunflowers to dark brown (the kit showed light brown) I like the color but I did some pebbling and it doesn't show. Thanks so much Shannon!

I thought I would also share some beautiful murals that we saw in Chillicothe, MO. I'm so glad we went back to take some pictures after checking into our motel as I didn't realize they were everywhere! To be able to paint like this is a real talent! I've included info about the artist at the bottom.

Each painting has a plaque with information about the painting.

Cute sunflowers!

I'm so happy that you took the pics of these murals. OMG....what talent! I cannot even imagine being able to do something like that. Sure am glad there are people who can. :) Gorgeous!

I'm thinking that if I ever get to MO I might not ever leave. If the architectural aspects of all the towns back there are like these towns you've shown I would be in heaven. :) Thanks, Connie, for sharing!

There is Connie, back from your trip and right back at the sewing machine. Great little wall hanging. I get my Bernina back tomorrow after 29 days in the shop, I have been using my old Bernina 830, love it and so glad I never got rid of it.

I love how the prairie points add so much dimension to the sunflowers! Was that in the directions or did you do that on your own?? Either way, cute as can be!

I'm glad you shared the murals with us too - I always enjoy looking for cool things like that in the towns we visit. I love the way the artist incorporated building features right into the painting, like the Mill, where she (he?) turned the pipe into a telephone pole. They really add beauty and keep the buildings looking nice!

The murals are great! Question: when you quilted around the sunflower sections that stand up, did you just pull them into the center of the flower and pin them to get them out of the way?
