Batik River Bowl Wall Hanging

Today is the final day of the Bowls with Borders blog hop and I hope you enjoy my creations! I had only tried paper piecing one time before this blog hop and really enjoyed working with Regina’s beautiful pattern and clear directions. I will definitely do more paper piecing!

Closeup of Applique flowers and bowls

I used Regina’s applique leaves and stems and then used my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the flowers. I then appliqued them using my Vintage 15-91 Singer with a freemotion wiggle stitch.

Back of wall hanging

Here is the back of my wall hanging, it is on a new Ackfeldwire pedestal frame and topper that I purchased from Fons & Porter.

Purple Batik bowl wall hanging

Here is another small one I did with just one bowl. I like the delicate look of this one.

I used all batiks and my Sizzix Big Shot for the flower and leaves.

Purple Batik bowl wall hanging

I want to thank Regina for making such a fun pattern and sharing it with those of us who participated in the blog hop. You can buy her pattern here, it is called Piling-Up!

I also want to thank the organizers, Madame Samm from Sew WE Quilt and Carol from Just Let Me Quilt.
