I thought I would share something cute that my grandson made. This was a while ago when I was teaching him how to sew and he designed his own place mat. He stitched the pieces together and then I did the applique and quilting. The HST’s were cut using my AccuQuilt and that really made it easy for him to sew them together.
I had to keep telling him to be careful, go slow……….reminds me of someone…….
We have been having some beautiful weather, windows are open and I even put on a sweat shirt in the morning. Yesterday there was no quilting, the day was spent pulling weeds, putting down fresh mulch and enjoying the outdoors. Of course by last night my allergies were really kicking in….lots of sneezing and oh the itchy eyes!
Today we’ll be doing a little shopping and then I’ll be making potato salad (remember I’m not a cook….Builder/Chef Bob is….but everyone loves my potato salad….I have no idea why). Hopefully I’ll sneak in a little quilting time….at least 23 minutes. We are hoping the weather will stay this nice as Sunday is my grand daughter’s 3rd birthday and we want to have a cook-out by the river. I already bought a new box of sidewalk chalk so everyone can have fun drawing on the driveway too.
If you are wondering about my comment above about quilting for 23 minutes, you’ll have to read Madame Samm’s 2nd post on How I make time part 2.
