Pillows match Petunia Strings Quilt

16-inch Pillows
Both pillows use a 16-inch pillow form and have muslin on the back.
These aren’t the same group of quilt blocks but you can see how they were put together to make the pillow.
I grabbed another set of blocks to show you a different center you can make with the blocks.
I always love pillows as they are fast to make and a lot easier to free-motion quilt!
Notice the quilted king-size pillow shams in the back? I made them last year and they are out of muslin, this is a great way to practice your free motion quilting.
I love using muslin in my quilts. I love the old-fashioned look of it and it is affordable. A couple of people asked about the muslin. I use a premium-grade muslin, permanent press, and pre-shrunk. I have never actually bought any online as I usually buy it at JoAnn’s with a 50% off coupon. I like to keep plenty on hand.

Pillows look great and are wonderful with the Petunia quilt. I like muslin, too, but like you I only use the good quality stuff. I buy it by the bolt! lol

I love to use muslin in my quilts too. I especially like to use the 108" wide on the back of my quilts. The quilting looks stunning. I can't wait for the pillow tutorial – I am need to make a couple of pillows for my couch upstairs 🙂
