The weather here in Iowa has been unbelievable.....warm enough that today I have a few windows open. I thought you might like to see what we have been working on.......yesterday we finished splitting a pile of oak for our wood stove. Builder Bob and my brother have been working all week, taking advantage of the weather and we should have enough wood now for both families for the whole winter. The only thing I had to do was run the lever on the splitter, the guys had all the heavy work. That pile of wood is now sitting in the garage.
Not only has the weather been warm but I took this photo this morning and the Mississippi River is at the lowest I have ever seen it. Normally our shore line is where the red arrow is.
Time to get back to cleaning house and getting ready for Thanksgiving.

Looks like Builder Bob is back up and running, glad to see he is feeling better!! Happy Turkey Day to you both!
Yes, the weather has been unbelievable. You have a good job done, and now you can relax, and know that you will be warm. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Our weather, too, has been beautiful and sunny and warm. The warm, at least, ends on Saturday, when the temps will be 30+ less than today. But tomorrow will be wonderful, and I will sit out on the back deck and pretend it will last forever! Love your pile of wood, and oak burns so nicely.
Our weather has also been really nice. I'm hoping for a very pleasant day tomorrow. I'm sure it's a nice relief to have all of the wood ready for winter...if it ever gets here :) Happy Thanksgiving!
HI! Connie, good to see you have your winter fuel ready for the cold. Not long and it will be summer here. There is so much to do for Christmas . It is full on and busy till then.
Happy Thanksgiving to you.
