I finished up a couple table runners that will work nice for Thanksgiving. This one started out as 2.5 inch strips sewn into a tube and then cut into squares. Four sections per block and just two 12 inch blocks make a perfect runner size.
This table runner started out as a block that I made for my post for the Leaf’s Me Happy blog hop.
At the time I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with this 12 inch block. I decided to add another block but I put half on one side and half on the other.
Then I just added some more leaves and appliqued them on doing it with free motion and my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine. I am so glad this didn’t become a lonely orphan block.
I took a couple days off from blogging…….I did some quilting and just relaxed after babysitting the grand-kids for a couple days. I always forget how much energy they have……and how exhausted I get.
They just got a new bunk bed which of course made “grandma” nervous. Looks like I’ll be making some new quilts soon.
I’ve been working on a Christmas quilt and used some of the leftover pieces to make some small blocks…..not sure what I’m going to do with them yet!
