Christmas Logs

Log cabin blocks are so much fun to make and they can look so different depending on the width and length of the logs. I used up the last of the Christmas fabric strip set to make these. I did have to add some red fabrics and a couple greens. That makes quite a few projects - tree skirt, mug rugs, table runner and now place mats.
I don't make my place mats as big as patterns usually call for.....I like a little smaller ones. These are about 11 x 15.
I made a couple using the gold and green which I really like.
This is another project that I wanted to do a tutorial on but....sometimes I start sewing like crazy and completely forget to get my camera out.....this was one of those times. After the holidays I'll share a tutorial as I want to make some out of batiks.
Tomorrow I'll have to show you the cute little placemats and mug rugs I made for my granddaughters for Christmas.....they are yummy!

You are putting us all to shame...you're getting so much done! I haven't been in to sew in a while, and I miss it. Hopefully after the holiday. I really like the gold ones too!!
