Easy Street part 2
So far I have about 30 pieces of part 2 of Easy Street done and I hope to get this step completed today. Don't forget that Bonnie Hunter has a Linky party today to show how much you have done on Easy Street - check out Mystery Monday Link Up part 2 and also see what everyone has on their design walls this week at Patchwork Times
Batiks from Quilt in a Day
A few more batiks made it to my stash, these are so beautiful! Quilt in a Day had a great Black Friday sale with each group of twelve for only $20......wish I had bought more. I also got 4 yards of black batik which is almost a solid but I like it. These are great colors for trees, landscapes and more....I can't wait to play work with them!
grandsons birthday
Someone had a birthday yesterday.....14.....come on give us a smile!
grandsons birthday with a smile
I finally caught a picture with a great smile, of course his arm was moving and blurry so I cropped it. After visiting my dad at the hospital yesterday I went over to my daughters and we all went to dinner. Since it was Xander's birthday he got to choose so we went to Steak & Shake. Then I headed back to the hospital. Dad is doing very well and they are even talking about letting him go home on Tuesday.
grand daughters new haircut
This little cutie had long hair at Thanksgiving and then got a cute haircut the next day, I didn't get to see it.....she found some scissors and decided to give herself another haircut. Back to the salon and they did a pretty good job trimming it up.....shorter. Smiles were hard to get yesterday.

  1. You are turning into the "batik queen".....I'm starting to get antsy about making another batik quilt. But have to discipline myself; I've got Christmas stuff to finish.

  2. Your Easy Street is looking great and I love your batiks - so pretty.

Happy birthday to the big guy! They grow up quickly, don't they?

The new haircut is adorable. I always like the short hair on the little ones. She is darling.

I am thrilled to hear that your dad is doing so well. I'll bet he is excited about getting out and home too.

I love your batiks. I wish I had known about the sale :( I'm working on my collection, too.
    Birthday Boy scored big!
Cute hair style. Many in our family have tried to cut their own hair. Little kids that somehow get their hand on some scissors ... as well as adults that should have known better. haha. Then it's a quick trip to the hair salons for all of us. Live and learn.

  15. You are so lucky with your fabric sales. Our fat quarters in Australia are around $6 each and they rarely come on sale. The batiks are beautiful, as are your flying geese.
