Sleeping Bag Tutorial

Sleeping bag tutorial @Freemotion by the River
I want to share a tutorial I did last December when I made my granddaughters some little sleeping bags for their stuffed animals. They would make a quick & easy gift.

If you would like to make one you can see the tutorial here.

I was tickled last week to see that Karen from Stitching Circle had made one and showed it at my Linky Tuesday Party. Isn't it cute!

We are getting our first snow storm here in Iowa. It started out with rain all day yesterday and then turned to sleet/ ice this morning. Now the snow is coming down and the wind blowing. The visiting nurse was supposed to come for Dad's last visit.....I don't think it will happen.
First snowstorm
I'm going to spend the day warm and cozy in my quilt room.....or maybe I'll cuddle up with a good book.

We are getting rain, rain, and more rain. Bleh. And I'll be out in it all day!!! LOL! The sleeping bag is darling and definitely a tutorial I'll have to keep in mind, with all the grands coming along!! Thanks for sharing, Connie! :)

These are so cute - mine aren't old enough for those yet, but tucked away in the notefile.

I gave the doll and sleeping bag to my grand-neice the other day so I could see her open it, and she loved it. She's 2 and a half and knew right what to do with it. So cute.

Jess and Brian have to hurry on the grandbabies so I can make one of those! They're too cute. Looks like some NY weather you've got going. We're supposed to get snow over the weekend..so far it's just been cold.

I so wish I had seen this tutorial earlier. The granddaughters would have loved them. Maybe an idea for Valentine's Day, Easter, or birthdays.

I hadn't stopped by your blog in a while, so I am working backwards. Love the Christmas mug rug too. Such a neat way to dress up a simple block.

What cute sleeping bags.

Stay safe in this snow storm. The news is showing this to be a record breaker snow storm for your area.

A good book sounds perfect! I'm so jealous!!! No snow for us anytime in the near future, but it has been very winter-like nonetheless. Cold and blustery, but not pretty like snow!

I've been thinking of doing a sleeping bag for my granddaughter's baby doll - now that I have your tutorial, I may get that done after all :*)

Love the little sleeping bag. Before I take my Brownies on camp next year I'm going to show them to the girls and see if they want to make their soft cuddly toys one ready for camp.It will be another great way of getting the girls to enjoy sewing. Thanks for the tutorial.

Really cute idea. I'm going to have to whip up a few of those for some of our styffed gang.
