This is made with some batiks I had on hand.....imagine that and I used my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the flower, then some free motion quilting and it was done. I forgot to take photos of the steps so I made another one out of Christmas fabrics but you'll have to wait until tomorrow for a fast and easy tutorial on it.
In the meantime I have a couple pairs of Builder Bob's jeans that need a little mending. That isn't my favorite thing to do but my old Singer sewing machine does a fantastic job on denim......so well that my dad has several pair of work pants that have more patches than actual fabric anymore. My brother also brings me his overalls to mend. I just tell everyone I DON'T replace zippers.......yuck!
Be sure and stop by tomorrow for my mug rug tutorial. You can now find the Christmas Mug Rug tutorial - here.

very pretty fabric
I had rather put in a zipper than to mend... How about we trade out. lol
Love your mugrug!
Your mug rug is so pretty! You're right, the cookie looks great with it!
I spent some time Thanksgiving mending my grandson's jeans. He's only 5 and the jeans were so skinny, I couldn't get them on the arm of my machine. I had to mend by hand. He thought it was magic, though. Worth every stitch!
Very pretty and that cookie looks yummy...save me some!!
Beautiful Mug rug!
What a cute little mug rug. I'm with you on zippers - and I don't mend, either! :D
You know what they say "asking a quilter to mend is like asking Picasso to paint the garage." Look forward to the tutorial.
Love your happy looking mug rug! I think I could make mug rugs for days, what is about them? So cute.
Mug rug is beautiful! Cookie looks yummy. I don't do zippers either, LOL!
Love the mug rug fabric! So pretty! I spend the first week of September every year hemming jeans for everyone. Not my favorite activity, but the girls across the street are so happy that the technique I use makes them look like they were not hemmed.
Too, too cute!!! I'm planning some mug rugs for Christmas - better get started soon :*)
I love those beautiful colors!

The old machines are really workhorses on those heavy projects. I'll send my jeans off to you and I'll do your zippers.
