I finished piecing my red, orange and yellow Easy Street. I had made half of the pieces that were called for and ended up with 4 blocks left over that I might use as pillows or on the back. I laid it out this morning for pictures……forgetting that morning is a bad time for that…..the cats are all wide awake and ready to check out anything new laid on the floor or couch.
Even the elusive Bo was ready to join in and check out my work. I guess they approved. Today I’m working on piecing the purple, teal and lime green Easy Street. Funny thing….when I started to put the blocks on both together I was missing the corners, triangles and a few things…..I had missed part 7 which Bonnie put out on New Year’s Eve so I am doing those pieces as I go. I haven’t decided on a border yet.
I really like this quilt and you should check out Bea’s Easy Street, she used either a black or a very dark grey and it is so striking!
I didn’t get to pick up my grandson yesterday as he had a terrible cough and we didn’t want to take a chance on Dad getting sick. I did stop at US Cellular and they helped me with a few things on my phone. It seems like every other day my Dad has a doctor’s appointment and although his surgery went well he is having trouble breathing and has been losing weight so it has been busy around here.
