Easy Street

It finished at 96 x 96 inches and looks good on a king size bed, especially when there is a dog or two on it.
If you missed my post showing how I quilted Easy Street you can find it here.
It is always fun to show a quilt outside. This is along the Mississippi river in front of our house.
In January I finished my first Easy Street quilt that I called Tangerine Easy Street. I really like it in both colors and you can see this one is smaller. In the post I have a picture of it laying on my bed….it was a lot easier to quilt! This quilt is down on the shore on the ice………we still have a flooded river and no shore right now.
This is one big quilt and there are a gazillion pieces in it! This was a mystery quilt that Bonnie Hunter did last November. The blocks were fairly big.
Each year she does one and they are so much fun! I am also doing her new one that is in Quiltmaker magazine called Lazy Sunday Mystery – you can see what I’ve done so far by clicking on the link.
You can now find this pattern here.
Here you can see the quilting on the front and on the back.
Even cats love this quilt!
When short on backing fabric, it is easy to just piece it together. Most of the times no one will see the back or if they do, they don’t care.

Your Easy Street is beautiful. The colors are so pretty and fresh. I love your post on how you quilted it and the table that you and your husband improvised. Very smart!
Connie –
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful!!!! I love the soothing blue with the pop of green. Reminds me of a cool blue mountain lake. Oh, take me away!
It's beautiful, Connie. Bet you are glad to have had the frame to do that one! I still have to go read all about your set up. Think I'll do that right now. 😀

Catching up on a few posts here, Connie.
Your Easy Street looks fabulous. I can't believe you did it on the little Singer.
Your frame setup is wonderful. Builder Bob has such an eye for how to make it all work and it is in such a gorgeous location. I can't think of anyone who should have a great setup like you should. You do so much quilting and this should really speed you up on those larger quilts.
You have encouraged me to get my blocks together and get it quilted.
