I didn’t think I would be showing a sneak peak of the finished top…..but the internet was slow or….not working at all and I just kept sewing…..next thing I knew…..Dulcinea is completely pieced!
Each month a new Schnibbles pattern is posted on A Quilting Life and Pink Pincushion blogs and this is the third Schnibble I have worked on. I’m having fun using some Happy Town fabrics with the pattern called Dulcinea.
|Happy Town meets Dulcinea|
The first time I worked with the fun prints called Happy Town that can be found at Fat Quarter Shop was here. Jacquelynne Steves is the designer and sent me some of the prints to work with.
I made a baby quilt and if you missed it just click on the photo below to be taken to that post.
She also has a new book out called Child’s Play with many wonderful projects using the Happy Town fabrics.
Now it is time to clean up the mess and get the backing and batting ready. Hmmm……I might have to wait just a little longer to do that….I have a couple more blocks I want to make with the scraps. I already have the binding cut, pieced and ironed and waiting to be used.
I don’t think I’ll ever have enough rulers……how about you?? Yesterday I was reading Quilt Hollow and she talked about making her Dulcinea quilt and using her Eleanor Burns Triangle Square Up ruler…..which I just happened to buy a couple weeks ago…..JoAnn’s 50% coupon!
Go here to read her post on using this ruler.
I also did a little shopping the other day. I have been doing Lori Holt’s Barn Quilt Along using batiks and other fabrics in my stash. Her fabrics are so neat so when Missouri Star Quilt Co. had the charm pack of Bake Sale as the daily special I just had to pick it up. I have no idea what I’m going to make with them but the fabrics are adorable!
I have also been wanting to try Omni Thread by Superior and this was a perfect time. That is 6,000 yards of Butter, I can’t wait to try it.
