I have this quilt project all ready to go when we get home from our trip. This is Bonnie Hunter’s Lazy Sunday Mystery quilt that appeared in the last 4 issues of Quiltmaker.
I love all the bright colors in the quilt and of course……..ALL the pieces!
We got to Elk River, Minnesota yesterday and visited Bob’s mom and then had dinner with his sister and brother-in-law last night. Today we will go to his niece’s cabin which should be lots of fun!
We have stopped at several quilt shops along the way and I picked up a “few” goodies that I’ll have to share with you.
The Lazy Sunday Mystery QAL continues!
I couldn’t wait for the July/August 2013 issue of Quiltmaker to come out so I could work on Bonnie Hunter’s new mystery QAL. You will only find this QAL in Quiltmaker but be sure and visit Bonnie Hunter’s blog for lots of free quilt patterns and other good things.
This was part 3 of 4 parts but only my second post about it as I got a late start. You can see my first post here.
Would you believe that I have NO purple in my stash! Well, maybe some batiks but not in my regular cottons and my scrap box of purple is teeny tiny…..so I had to go out and buy a piece of purple. I got it when I was taking care of the grand-kids and stopped at Hancock Fabrics. I have bought this particular fabric before and it is called Alexander’s Flower Blenders by M’ Liss. I had to cut hundreds of neutral squares for the blocks but I had plenty of them.
The next photo is from my last post…..all of the red blocks are gone!
In case you missed the last blocks….here they are.
Part 4…..the final part…..will be in the next issue of Quiltmaker, I can’t wait to see what this quilt will look like!
Have you seen the new Blog Hop that will be starting soon! Madam Samm at Sew We Quilt has the information on her blog today and since I love, love batiks and did the twist in the 60’s…..I’ll be taking part in this blog hop! If this sounds like fun to you be sure and visit her blog to find out how to sign up for this.
