Lazy Sunday is now a flimsy…..all finished and just waiting to be quilted. This is another beautiful quilt design by Bonnie Hunter and as usual there are lots and lots of pieces in it.

I spent most of my time yesterday working on Bonnie Hunter’s newest mystery quilt that appeared in the last 4 issues of Quiltmaker and got the borders finished. You can read more about my progress here. I’m probably going to put this one on my quilt frame and hope to get it done before the next mystery quilt starts.

I quickly played in Photoshop this morning and changed the colors a little to show you what the quilt “might” have looked like with different scrap fabrics. Enjoy!

I have two of Bonnie's quilt books. Made her Easy Street Mystery quilt. LOTS of pieces in that big quilt. I plan to seriously consider making her new mystery quilt that starts next month. She is sharing the fabric requirements later this month.

  5. I've never tried one of Bonnie's mystery quilts, are the patterns pretty good so not difficult to follow along? Might have to try the next one….

I am still working on the scrappy trip around the world quilt, I made one maverick star, but that is it so far. Your quilt turned out great, how fun to see the different colors!

Just gorgeous! I love seeing Bonnie's designs but am intimidated by her mystery quilts (way too many pieces for me!). I've used a few of her easier scrappy patterns though.

  22. This is just super and love how you showed the different colors. I haven't done a BH mystery in a while as so busy, but I am planning on doing the one coming up soon.

  23. Your quilt looks great. Getting this one quilted before the next one starts sounds like a sensible idea. I didn't do the Lazy Sunday, but hope to do 2013 Mystery Quilt over the holidays.

  24. So pretty! And it will be even prettier when quilted and finished. Fun to see it in other colours too. I have made Easy Street last year. Do you know when this year's mystery starts?
