Here is a table runner made from one charm pack. This is another project that was all finished but the binding. I must not have been able to decide what to use so….it was put in the “quilted but not done” pile.

The 5 inch charm squares were cut with the tumbler template for very little waste and just put together in 4 rows of 10. I put muslin on the back and found a cranberry red fabric in my stash that worked perfectly for the binding.

The table runner measures 18 x 35.

Here is a closeup of the fabrics and binding. I can’t remember what the name was of the charm pack.

Tumbler Table Runner

I have done it again……………..new internet service and our usage for the month……is gone! We are into our third month and I thought I had figured out what I could and couldn’t do…..guess not. I actually ran out about 6 days ago, called and they gave me 3 GB for free and now that is gone. Fortunately I can still get on from 2am-8am so I can post this and check a few other things.

On the 16th my month starts over. There are a few good things about this……last night I played cards with Bob and my dad for about 3 hours – instead of being on the internet. I’m going to bed earlier so I can get up at 4am……hmmmm…..I don’t know if that is good or not! If you don’t hear from me you now know why.

  5. Love the table topper Connie — Funny you used that charm pack… I have one here I am thinking about using for a tutorial — it's called Panier De Fleurs by French General for Moda… Beautiful stuff. BTW: Your kitty mug rug is happily resting on my table top – smiles at me every day! Thanks again for that giveaway! Karen

  6. I love 4am – a lot of creative things happen at that time! Of course, there isn't much life in me after 9pm at night – if I make it that far! Maybe I'll see you early tomorrow morning! Great table topper – fabulous colors!

  7. Oh my goodness I don't know how anyone can limit themselves to computer use age. I don't think I could live without it anymore… I know that sounds horrible but it is true. I am addicted to technology…I love the tumbler .. It is gorgeous.

  11. Connie –
Your table topper is SO pretty! I love tumblers and used them to make my sewing machine cover. Some day I would like to do a full sized quilt, but for now I love the idea of the tumbler table topper and hope to try one once the craziness of the holidays is over! Thanks for showing your beautiful work!

Oh I would be in loads of trouble with limited internet service or a "maximum". It would mean I have to do something productive. Cute table runner.

  13. Maybe my wish for Christmas should be some MODERN internet service for Connie! LOL Yes, the benefit of using up your time too early is actually spending time with your husband. I'm sure it's hard but there are times when I wish all our computers and cell phones would just go on strike so my husband and I could just spend time together ALONE without the technology interrupting so often. I kinda miss those days. I've got no problem if away from home ignoring my cell phone unless it's one of the kids since one never knows what the kids want even though they are older. As a Mom, I just can't ignore those calls without feeling guilty or sitting there wondering if it was an emergency or something like wanting to know how I made some meal when they were little.

I really love the runner Connie. I bought the small tumbler die from Accuquilt so this looks like a great idea to use it. It would be a cute idea for a table runner and matching placemats made from Christmas fabrics as a great gift for the holidays.

  14. Oh, my! I thought your new post was up awfully early. I don't usually see yours until a bit later in the day. It sounds like you have one of those services that only allows so much data during the billing period. Bummer!! Sooner or later, I suppose that day is coming for all of us as we gobble more and more bandwidth.

Your table topper is very cute. I have a few stray charm packs that could be put to use that way. 😀

  15. The runner is gorgeous. I LOVE those fabrics! Your internet service is a real bummer. You, of all people I know, need and unlimited time option.
