Christmas Tree Skirt Tutorial

Christmas Tree tutorial at Freemotion by the River
Patricia from Quilting Lines is having a Christmas Tree Skirts party and she shared a link to it on Linky Tuesday. When I stopped by her blog I remembered that last year I made a new Christmas tree skirt and gave it to my daughter.

If you read it last year I hope you enjoyed it....did you make a tree skirt?  Hmmmm I am reading it over and it isn't a very detailed tutorial.....I had better add it to my list of things to do!

As I read my post it was funny to realize that on that day a year ago my dad was going in for a valve replacement surgery. He is doing fine and it is enjoyable to read back on events in our lives.

You can read the post and tutorial here. I even found the cute little reindeer signature that I made last year......forgot how cute it was!

  5. beautiful tree skirt. do you have real trees? We have a fake and for the last 7 yrs our cat chews the bottom of the tree. Sprayed with some cat repellant. didn't stop him, lol , now that that spray has turned to dust on the tree, it gets in the air when we pull the tree out, yuck yuck, so I am washing the bottom branches every year in the hopes to finally get rid of it. Did your cats just stop? or did you do something? LOL love our cats

  6. I love the tree skirt! We have reduced our decorations over the past two years and now simply have a small tree that comes in it own pot, which I decorate with sparkly red snowflakes. There is no need for a skirt. However, the tree sits on a 12" square table from Ikea that I cover up with a burgundy fleece throw. I may consider a variation of this pattern (square) to cover the table! Thanks for the idea!
