Celtic Solstice is pieced, quilted and washed! This photo by the river was actually taken a day later than the other photos and was after the quilt was washed. The wind was blowing but not as bad as the day before. There is no way I would have taken my quilt down by the river then.
Okay, here is my quilt before being washed, it was freezing out when I “borrowed” my neighbors bench for a photo. I really like the orange print on the back and I also used orange thread for the quilting.
Then I headed out back to try and get a picture of it laid out flat…..oops….missed the corner.
When I tried for another shot the wind really picked up……
and there goes the quilt! By then I was freezing and headed back inside.
This was another fun mystery quilt by Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville and I really enjoyed it. I made the small quilt and according to Kevin the Quilter there are 2,344 pieces not counting the last border!
