River Espresso Wall Hanging Tutorial
Welcome to my day on the AccuQuilt Block Party Blog Hop!!
AccuQuilt has come out with 11 new dies and I was really, really excited when I got a chance to pick a few out! I had a photo of them but last week my computer died and I lost a bunch of stuff…….back up your files!
I have been working on several other projects with the new dies that I will be sharing soon.
Today I will show you the Ohio Star die.
The Ohio Star die can be used on the GO! Baby or the GO! The batiks are a different color in this photo (next project) and I am showing it with different fabrics on the quarter square triangle so you can see how the pieces are cut. I actually cut a piece of fabric about 5 1/4 inch wide to cover that section.
The fabrics I used are called Espresso by Island Batik, this is a beautiful batik collection that was sent to me.
The pieces really go together easily with the dog-eared corners.
Building the sections.
I decided to add a border so I use more of the Espresso batiks.
Here are the sections ready to put together.
All pieced and ready to quilt.
All my quilting was done on my 15-91 vintage Singer, even the binding is done by machine.
I am working on a tutorial for this quilt and even if you don’t have the Ohio Star die you will be able to make it………(the die really does make it easier).
I even put a label on the back…..nothing fancy but it is there.
I always like to include a photo of the back.
I hope you enjoyed my quilt using the Ohio Star die.

Here is a sneak peek at another project with a new die that I’ll be sharing soon!
