Already bought the magazine, just want to say your pillow is beautiful! Learned to paper piece through the Hugs and Kisses blog hop, and I think, besides cross-stitch, this is the most fun craft I have ever done. The magazine has many beautiful pieces (more than worth the price) and I cannot wait to get started...but other priorities first...thanks for sharing!

Fabulous block! I am amazed! I have done a few flowers but nothing this involved! I should move out of my comfort zone :) thanks!

Love the pillow. I haven't really done any paper piecing except for stars etc. No animals nor flowers so would be interesting.

I like to paper piece just about anything I can -- flowers, animals, stars, etc. I often convert patterns to paper piecing so I can get better results on points and matching. Your pillow is adorable and I love Janeen's patterns. Thanks for sharing!

I have not done any paper piecing except straight lines! I think the Walrus is just adorable. I don't know if I'd have the patience for that!! :)

You did awesome on the walrus! Do you have a favorite type of pillow you use, where do you get yours? I don't really have a favorite that I like to paper piece, but have done stars, christmas designs I made into stockings, and I have done a lot of fall leaves for runners.

My friend and I have been paper piecing North American animals for a future quilt. I have been downloading the BOMs and want to make it as soon as I finish up a couple of other things.

I made a paper piecing quilt, and discovered that I am in love with the process. It was great fun and would like to start another project. Mine was in pinwheels, so I guess I would have to say that I like the abstract look.

Love to receive your blog in my email box! Just a note on asthma...can be worsened by gluten intolerance...good reads are Grain Brain by Dr. Perlmutter (also a graduate of the College of Nutrition) and Wheat Belly by Dr. David Williams. Grains are hard to digest and cause lots of symptoms that get blamed on other issues...the wheat of today is not even remotely close to the wheat even just 40 years ago. Good health to you and your family! Thanks for the sewing inspiration!

I just love your paper pieced Walrus! It's just adorable. I love the quilting that you did on the pillow! I have yet to try doing any paper piecing, but it's on my list. I've seen several really cute paper pieced animals so that's where I think that I would start.

I love animals. My first adventure into paper piecing was an elephant. (My favorite!) I'm not into flowers but I do love sunflowers and plan to make Janeen's though it is more advanced than I am.
