I have another little piece all ready to be quilted. I finished piecing this over the weekend and I think I’ll start quilting it while I’m waiting for my next bundle of Windham Fabrics to arrive.
When that gets here I’ll be working like a crazy woman to get a project done right away. I know it will be 18 inches……most of the time I find it easier to actually have the fabrics on my cutting table before I can come up with a plan. I’ll share it with you on Wednesday.
Remember those teeny, tiny stars I showed you here. They are now part of this mini-quilt.
I used the last of my Quilted in Honor fabrics by Island Batik and made up the binding just to make sure I had enough.
I have been finding some great FREE quilt patterns lately. Here is one called All Wrapped Up by Amy Gibson and you can get it here. Wouldn’t this be a neat quilt for the holidays! I found it at Windham Fabrics.
Martingale also has a sale on their e-books going on for only $6 each!
I am old fashioned and really, really love holding a “real” book in my hands but I do have a lot of e-books, I’m getting used to them and…..love any book on sale. They have a different sale each Monday so be sure and check it out.
Now it is time to put on my Leslie Sansone walking DVD and get some exercise. The last 2 days I haven’t hit my goal of 10,000 steps a day. I think I’ve been doing too much quilting! I even did a 4 mile DVD walk yesterday and my little buzzer never went off……which means I didn’t hit 10,000 steps. Here is how many steps I walked yesterday. Darn…..if I knew I was that close I should have walked around the kitchen!
My weight is staying about the same but I feel healthy and my clothes fit better. I need to get back into the routine of entering my food and calories into Fitbit. I go in for my physical this month and I’m hoping to surprise my doctor by being in better shape.
