I am working on another Summer Flowers quilt as I sent mine off to Paducah, Kentucky last week.
I love working with string blocks and applique – especially when I am using batiks. I had some of the fabric leftover that I used for the flowers from the fabrics that Island Batik sent me. I’m not sure what I am going to use for the sashing and background blocks yet.

I am also tickled to announce that……I have the deck floor completely finished! The top rail is also done but….the spindles need a little touching up. Yesterday we had our first rain and you should have seen the way the water just sat on some of the boards. I even had fun going out with a mop to dry them off. No……I won’t do that very often.
I even got all 3 sets of steps done!
Yesterday I also took the time to install some new software I bought couple weeks ago. It is another graphics program called Serif DrawPlus X8 and I’ve been learning how to use it. I am having fun with flowers!
