I finished up another Piano Keys table runner and this time I added circles to the borders for a fun design.

I pieced this Piano Keys table runner in April but didn’t get it quilted until yesterday. I used the Full Bloom batik collection by Island Batik. The background fabric which looks like it is little raindrops is also a batik called Heavenly Hues Halo from Island Batik.

This nice thing about summer….it is fun to take pictures outside on the deck.

I used Heat & Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive on the circles and just caught them in my free-motion stitching instead of appliqueing them ahead of time.

I also stitched a circle around each one so they would puff a little.

My binding was made with leftover 2 1/2 inch strips of the batiks I used in the runner and then I added the binding by machine.

The table runner is a little big for this table but it looks pretty with the flowers.

Each time I make this table runner in different colors I think “This one is my favorite” then…..I make another one and say that again!

Here are a couple of other colorways of the Piano Keys table runner.

I had planned on posting this yesterday but…..the weather was beautiful and we spent the day boating on the Mississippi river with friends who were camping close by. We went out on the water abut 10:30 am with jackets and by noon had them off as it was warm. Thankfully the humidity was low.
