Happy Saturday everyone! Have you been following along with the fun during the Winter Wonderland Sew Along with the Fat Quarter Shop. It is with Sherri Falls of This & That Patterns and we’re all sewing up the Sleigh Bell Sampler from her first book with It’s Sew Emma, Winter Wonderland.
The block I did is the House Block which is so darn cute! You might not even know it is in the book as it is hidden behind the Christmas tree on the cover.
Here is a picture of the block and……
here is mine! I think this is the cutest pattern in the whole book!
I made a couple other blocks using a collection of Christmas fabric called Jovial I have had for a while. If you go to my tutorial page, you’ll find the fabrics used in several things.
I just had to make a couple houses out of batiks too. The book has twelve different projects and twelve different blocks with color photos of everything. Be sure and visit Fat Quarter Shop’s blog and see the other quilt blocks.
Thank you Sherri Falls and Fat Quarter Shop for a great Sew Along!

I love the washed denim variegated thread!
Nice choices but I think blue.
It's hard to decide, but the light jade is probably my favorite so far. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
I love the light jade.
I love all the colors, it's so hard to choose just one! I didn't see it on FQS's site, but I use 2615 for piecing since it's so light a gray.

I am fairly safe in my choice with Aurifil Dove. jarvenpa1ne at gmail dot com
My favorite thread is white. Thanks! sarah@forrussia.org
I think my favorite is the graphite varigated. Thanks for the chance!!

I've debated SO many times at buying that Winter Wonderland book, and now you're posting about it? That really makes it even harder to ignore now that you are doing one of the quilts from the book too? Darn. You KNOW I do not have time which was why I've been trying to ignore it. LOL I just know I'm going to break down. In fact earlier today while checking out the Flash Sale and not wanting to buy just that one item, I actually looked at the Winter Wonderland book again, but decided to not get anything today.
As far as thread, I love so many of the Aurifil colors, especially the Dusty Blue Violet #MK50-2525. But as much as I like that one, I don't have that or many of the other pretty colors I like so much. I've been buying those which would be best for piecing on any fabric rather than selected one. For that I've got a few, but the one I use most of the time is either White, or the Grey MK50-2605.
Maybe I'll win and then I can pick the pretty colors I want but haven't bought yet.
I love aurifil – I use a neutral grey on just about everything!
My favourite colour is MK50-1310 medium blue grey.
lin.web.28@gmail.com
So many to choose from but I think the Light Sand would be my favorite. Kind of a neutral color. Thanks!
Please click on the delaineelliott above for my email link.

I LOVE Storm at Sea Variegated. Thank you for the chance to win!
Thanks so much for such a generous giveaway. I use Aurifil for all my piecing and quilting. If I had to decide on one color it would be turquoise.

I love Aurifil colors, so vibrant. I ususally use 2310, light beige or 2610, light blue grey for piecing, but 2110, light lemon looks yummy.
