I washed the fabrics to remove some of the sizing that was on the fabric sheets….the fabric is still a little stiff but I’m not having any trouble free motion quilting it. I’m using Glide thread which has a sheen to it….I’ve been using it a lot lately as I really like that look. A perfectionist I am NOT. My plan at first was to outline each and every teeny tiny feather with red thread…..I tried going around one feather…..(I don’t do slow free motion quilting very well, I’m speedy) and it looked awful so I ripped it out and switched to a cream color which is much more forgiving.
The rest of this post will sound like an infomercial but…..I wanted to share some of the deals that I liked. I seem to be on a spending spree lately…..
