Desert Path Table Runner Tutorial
Last week…..before I got sick, I made a beautiful batik table runner and liked it so much….I had to make another one! I’m still not sure which one I like the best.
The beautiful batiks I used for the table runners are from Island Batik’s new Fall collection called Desert Rose.
This table runner is made from an assortment of fabrics in the group while the other runner was made using the same fabric for the Drunkard’s Path blocks and the plain blocks.
This table runner is very easy to make and the tutorial is really only a diagram to show you how to lay out the blocks for the design as it only uses 12 Drunkard’s Path blocks and 6 plain blocks.
My table runners are 12 x 24 and I used the AccuQuilt GO! #55338 Drunkard’s Path die which makes a 4″ finished block.
Here is a diagram showing how to join the rows.
When I was taking pictures I started seeing all kinds of possibilities for other designs!
I may have to make a large quilt using something like this!
This table runner makes me feel like Spring is here.
I really think this one is my favorite though.
Thank you everyone for all the sweet comments……the flu lasted longer than I thought, after my last post I realized I wasn’t feeling that much better and then it hit Bob and my dad. My daughter’s family….every single one of them also got sick. There hasn’t been much quilting going on and I’m hoping my energy picks up soon. We are also getting our first snow storm of the season!
