It is always fun when I do something on the spur of the moment. My friend Lara called me yesterday afternoon to let me know there were still a couple openings in The Pearl City Painter Bill Kaufmann’s Santa’s Here class. Next thing you know I was telling Bob I was going and he and dad were on their own for dinner. Believe it or not it was my night to cook…..we’ll have meatloaf tomorrow night.
Here is Lara working on her Santa. There were about 45 people in the class and we were painting with acrylics on a 16 x 20 canvas.
Bill, the instructor took photos afterwards and this is too funny…….he cut off the santa’s head.
I snagged this photo off of Facebook so it is blurry but you can see that there was a big group of us.
This was the info on the class. His next class is all booked but there are some neat January classes.
Here were a couple paintings that he had done and brought to class. Yep……I have a ways to go on my painting but….it was fun and I’ll do it again!
The birds have been hitting the bird feeder like crazy! I know most of them are sparrows….but I don’t care. When I went to refill the feeder yesterday, the bottom fell off AFTER I had the feeder filled up. Thank goodness I had it over the kitchen sink with a strainer in. I still have some on the floor and counter but most went in the sink. I hope the birds appreciate all the mess I had to clean up.
Painting is over and I’m back to quilting today……lots of new things coming!
