I am so ready for Spring! Of course that means yard work….did some of that the other day and I’m sore but it also means beautiful weather and flowers coming!
You know I always have fun working with bright and colorful batiks and
this month the Island Batik Ambassadors are sharing all kinds of mini
projects. The nice thing about mini quilts……they are fast to make!
I am using a Stamp set of 5 inch squares of Coral Reef from Island Batik and the Sizzix
Big Shot. I don’t seem to use my Big Shot much anymore but I have many
dies that are perfect for minis so you’ll probably see more quilts this
month made with it.
I don’t have it done yet but you can see what I’m working on…..this is going to be cute! I added fusible to the back of my batik squares before I ran them through the die cutter. At first I was just going to use the swirls but I decided to also use the background pieces. You’ll have wait and see what I turn it into!
A couple weeks ago I went in for a Life Line Screening and I got my results back the other day. I passed with normal in everything other than Osteoporosis which I already knew I had and am taking medication for. Now I will really feel good doing my exercises and walking! Of course in the very teeny, tiny print they tell you that you can still drop dead from a heart attack or stroke….LOL!
I started my Leslie Sansone walking DVDs on January 29th and almost
every day I have hit over 10,000 steps on my Fitbit. It feels great to
start working out again! I have 6 different DVDs and I just vary what I do every day. I have bought most of mine on Amazon as the prices were the best. You can also go on YouTube, type in her name and find free ones that you can try out. I really like a low impact work out.
