Indian Sunset is my newest finish and I am entering it into the Fall 2016 Quilt Festival in the Small Quilt category.Indian Sunset QuiltOnce again I am working with some beautiful batiks leftover from the Crystal Cove collection by Island Batik. I received a colorful bundle last Spring and have finally used the last of these fabrics.

If this looks familiar it is because I made this same design for my Crystal Cove quilt using the AccuQuilt GO! 12″ Qube set. I then added a few extras to get it to a nice size for a small baby quilt. A pattern will be coming soon.Indian Sunset quilt by a beautiful fern

I designed the Indian Sunset baby quilt in Electric Quilt 7.  The size is 24 x 34. I could spend all day playing in EQ….some days I do!Indian Sunset designed in EQ

Quilt Festival Fall 2016
I haven’t been doing much posting lately…..we have still been working on the new roof over the deck and…..this little girl has been keeping us busy and entertained. Meet little Sadie, she is the sweetest little dog and we are having so much fun with her. I’m hoping she will become my little quilt model! More on her tomorrow.Indian Sunset quilt with little Sadie on it

I also used a batik on the back of this quilt. It was a batik I picked up a couple years ago at a Amish store called Dutchman’ Store in Cantril, Iowa.  Last time we were there we bought about 10 bags of white popcorn and they are finally gone so we’ll be taking a trip back there soon. Edit:  I just saw on their website that there will be a huge fabric sale September 28 – Oct 1!

Did you know that Pinterest loves long vertical pins? Feel free to pin any of mine!
