I just finished trimming up block one from the First Blush book by It’s Sew Emma Pattern. I am going to have fun making two blocks a month from this book. There are 24 different blocks and I’ll be using all kinds of beautiful batiks in it!First Blush Block One

I was really tickled when the Fat Quarter Shop sent me the book which features the Creative Grids Starburst 30 degree triangle ruler.

The First Blush Block of the Month has full-color diagrams of each block and step. Please note that you will need the ruler that is used in the book for the blocks.First Blush Book and block oneYour blocks start out large and then you trim them down to size. That makes for perfect blocks! There are a lot of points in the middle and I tried to line it up as carefully as I could. I’m not a perfectionist and it works for me.AccuQuilt 12inch ruler
