Yesterday I showed you the Christmas mini Scattered pillows and said I had also made them in purple batiks. Here is a sneak peek at them and….a large Scattered quilt. I have had this on my design wall for the last month and took the time the other day to finally get it all pieced so I could use my design wall for another project. I am “hoping” to get this project finished in January.
Yesterday I also finished up my purple batik 4-patch blocks for part 3 of the En Provence mystery quilt from Bonnie Hunter. This is probably a little better photo as far as the colors. Purple seems to be a tricky color to photograph….for me.
So far parts 1, 2 and 3 fit in my little metal tray. I have been using them over the years whenever I do a Bonnie mystery quilt.I was able to pull out about 50% of my purple batik squares from my 2″ scrap bin. I didn’t make much of a dent in them. I try to cut up my scraps right away and sort them into my bins.
I am linking up with Bonnie’s En Provence Part 3 Linky Party.
I did have to get into my purple batiks to get enough for my 4 patch blocks. Looks like I still have plenty of purple doesn’t it? The funny thing…..I really don’t like purple but I seem to be using it a lot lately.I also spent some time yesterday working on a new secret project using Island Batik fabrics and my AccuQuilt GO! Electric Cutter. I am using the 12″ Qube and Companion dies.
I really enjoyed taking part in the Sew Mama Sew giveaway and the winners of my patterns and Island Batik fabrics are Gene and Susan. Congratulations and I just sent you emails.
More giveaways are coming!
