If you are looking for a beautiful quilt pattern especially for a baby…..you will love this quilt! I am taking part in the Morning Glory Sew Along at the Fat Quarter Shop and look at this precious little baby quilt that I have made using the Sunday Drive batik collection by Pat Sloan for Moda.
The quilt pattern is the Morning Glory Quilt Pattern by It’s Sew Emma Patterns. There are 3 different sizes in the quilt pattern, I made the crib quilt which is 32″ x 45.5″. It is no surprise that I picked batiks for my quilt. Sunday Drive by Pat Sloan comes in regular quilt fabrics and also in batiks.
Here is a closeup to show you the beautiful batiks in the Sunday Drive collection. I really enjoyed piecing the blocks for this quilt and my background was a directional print which made it a little challenging to get all of the pieces running the same way.
Fat Quarter Shop also has a kit which includes the pattern for Morning Glory and the regular quilt fabrics. Here is a photo of the kit.
I decided to go with only 5 different batik fabrics and I really like the way it turned out. I could see this pattern as a large one for our bed.
